A memorable weekend in Paris!

Paris is a dream place for every traveler in this world. The name itself is very magical and romantic with the most beautiful art in the world - The Eiffel Tower. More than the country France , Paris has gained a big fame. This weekend we planned to visit the French beauty .

We took an evening flight from Copenhagen to Paris on Friday. We reached the airport Charles De Guelle (CDG) , Paris around 10 at night. The airport is a bit far from the city , but it is well connected with Public transports and airport shuttles to city. The train station to Paris city is inside the airport , so you don't have to walk out and check for anything. There are sign boards inside the airport which leads to the airport and also from the airport you can take the ticket. It is always better to take a stay in the city. W have taken a stay in Rue Daguerre , near city. This place has very good views and many restaurants and markets are at walk able distance. The best part was there is a metro station nearby this place, so we were able to get a direct train to this place from airport. The metro is just a 8 minutes walk from hotel. The beauty Eiffel Tower was just 3 km from this place. So always choose a place near to the major attractions.

Friday night we took good rest and prepared for what all needs to be done on Saturday. There was a lot of suggestions to be done for Saturday as we have only two days in Paris. The must was to see Eiffel Tower from top in the morning and to see the light show at night . We started to Eiffel tower in a cab . We took a cab rather than metro to see the streets around. After 2 minutes we were able to see the beauty from a long distance.

The weather prediction was rains and showers , we were feeling so bad that if it rains hard then it will be very difficult to explore the magical romantic Paris to the fullest. It was a very short journey in the cab as our stay was very near to Eiffel. We were so excited to Eiffel Tower so it was the time to click pictures from all the angles and sides that we could. We even forgot that we had a limited time and we need to be there in the queue for the tickets to enter the Eiffel Tower. As we reached nearer to the tower we could see a big long queue in front of the ticket booth. The one big mistake we did, we could have booked the ticket before online. The ticket queue took one hour of our day. :( . There are three floors for Eiffel tower Ground, First , second and Third. The first floor is where you can have some food and coffee and some souvenirs. You can also get some certificates saying you have been on top of Eiffel . :) From the second floor itself you will get a very good view of Paris. The third floor is the topmost floor , only limited number of people will be allowed on top of this floor at a given time. We can take ticket to the third floor from the ticket booth downstairs or from the second floor. We had to wait for half an hour to get the ticket to third floor , since it was crowded. Once you reach the third floor you cannot describe the view that you see around. You are on top of the most romantic tower !!! :) You will get the whole view of Paris. We enjoyed the view for some time and we decided to get down as there are other places to see. From there we took a cab and went to see the Arc De Triumph . We spend only some time there since , it was already afternoon and we need to see some more beautiful museum in Paris- The Louvre !. It is the world's largest art museum . This is the museum where the famous Mona Lisa painting kept . We went there , roamed around around near to the museum and palace . There are so many places near this museum where you can do window shopping which are pocket friendly.

Once we did all the shopping, it started getting dark . We went back to Lovre to see the museum at night.

After watching the lighted Lovre , we planned to go back to Eiffel tower to see the beauty at night. There is a light show every one hour at Eiffel tower for around 5 minutes. We came at the Champ de Mars at 8 at night. The light show already started for that hour. It was so mesmerizing . Since we couldn't enjoy the full view from a good place. We planned to sit for the next hour. There is a very beautiful lawn in front of Eiffel tower where you can relax and sit . Just that it will be a bit of chilly breeze.!!

After watching the light show for two more time, we planned to back to hotel and take some rest to start the adventures next day! The weather prediction for Sunday was quiet bad , it showed thunders and rains , so we woke with a heavy heart . Because this Sunday we had planned to visit the Disney Land Paris :) !!!!!!!!!.

Though the weather prediction was not very supporting , we started our journey to DisneyLand with the heavy clouds. We took the trains , we got a direct train from our place to Disney Land. All the trains to Disney Land , will take you to the gates of Disney land , so it is always better to take Train . It will take you one full day to go around Disney Land . There are two parks here. If you are going for a day then you can only see one park with a ticket. So we choose to take the actual Disney Park.

It was 25th anniversary celebrations in Disney Land that day , there special events parades etc. To our luck , it didn't rain the whole day. So we could enjoy the whole park . During night at 11 , there is a light show , it is a kind of story telling of all the Disney movies with light , you should never miss this one. We sat on the lawn to watch this show which lasts for about 15 to 20 minutes and we said bye to Mickey and Minnie and took the train back to our hotel.

Took a good rest on Sunday night , and our flight was at 10 in the morning from Paris to Copenhagen , we took a train to airport. We were completely sure that we missed so many places like the Cathedral on Mountain, Notre Dam Church, Luxemborg etc . We promised each other to come back again to see all those places and see Eiffel Tower once again ;)

Tips while travelling to Paris:

1. Make sure you have a local sim , so you can freely use google maps

2. It is better to keep some Euro change in your pocket , though cards are accepted everywhere

3. Take a stay near to a metro station

4. Take an uber or a taxi if you are travelling around the city. If you are travelling out of city like Disney Land , Airport then use train

5. Beware of pickpockets , keep you valuable items safe . Dont take your passport while you are travelling around.

6. Beware of careless drivers
